CLASSES MEET EPA/ HUD CERTIFIED RENOVATOR REQUIREMENT !
The National Center for Healthy Housing is partnering with EnviroED LLC to offer Certified Renovator Certification classes that meets the requirement of the Renovation, Remodeling, and Painting Rule.
Under strict new EPA rules that took effect on April 22, 2010, certification is required for all home improvement activity in housing built before 1978, or pre-1978 child occupied facilities. The new rules focus on activities that disturbs more than 6 square feet of interior or 20 square feet of exterior lead paint.
The National Center for Healthy Housing is authorized to train and certify workers to meet these strict new guidelines by helping them recognize and safely handle building components identified or presumed to have lead-based paint.
